We Probably Wouldn’t Buy This 90s Inspired House, But It’s Still Making Us Feel Things

Okay, everyone. I want you to take a good look at this house. This Michigan custom-built home is listed at $800,000, though the realtor admits it’s going to be a hard sell. Why? Well, this blast from the past is taking potential buyers back a couple of decades.

Blow the dust off those velour shirts and plaid skirts because you’ll need them to fit in with the 90s decor. Realtor Mark Z told Detroit WXYZ that the outdated interior could pose a potential problem when it comes time to try and pitch this home.

He also expressed how surprised he was to see that the decor hadn’t been updated but ultimately he’s not surprised that the listing went viral.

Either way, welcome to Kelly Kapowski’s house. Let’s go on a tour, shall we?

This mansion is decked out in 90s decor that literally hasn’t been updated since it was first built and decorated in 1996.

Bubblegum pink rugs, turquoise walls, and geometric shapes on everything was the style then, kids.

You know, if you can somehow make it past the pastel color scheme it’s hard to argue that having a house with six bedrooms and eight bathrooms wouldn’t be cool.

If you pop over to the listing you’ll get a full view of the perks this time capsule offers: a patio, hot tub, wet bar, and a sprinkler system.

Though you’ll have to deal with the bathroom and laundry room looking exactly like the ones my Barbies had.

I know what you’re thinking. You just can’t handle all the 90’s throwbacks wrapped up in one whole house.

But in case you moved on from Saved by the Bell, Mark warns that remodeling the house for a more modern feel will set you back anywhere from $500,000 to a million dollars.

Hate all you want because the house was appraised at 1.8 million dollars. In addition to the breathtaking interior, it also overlooks the lake, has an indoor pool, a home theatre, a finished basement, and boasts over 10,000 square feet of space.

Despite Mark’s concerns, he believes that the right buyer is out there somewhere. I don’t think it’ll be hard to sell.

There has to be a way to let potential buyers know about the interior before they walk in, though. In lieu of an “open house” sign just have one that reads:

“Hey. Do you miss the 90’s?”
